Children's Tiger Felt Purse

Our children's felt purse has been created exclusively for the National Gallery. It has been inspired by Henri Rousseau’s jungle scene entitled “Surprised!” or “Tiger in a Tropical Storm”, in which Rousseau depicts a tiger that’s about to pounce on an unseen target… and the image on our purse reinterprets the face of the stalking tiger.

This children's felt purse has been lovingly handmade, from dying the wool to the perfect colour, through to stitching the last little detail. This felt purse has been made from 100% natural New Zealand sheep's wool fibre.
