Spanish Sculpture is a catalogue of post-medieval Spanish sculpture. Illustrated throughout, with much in colour, Spanish Sculpture also acts as a wide-ranging introduction to Spanish sculpture.
Works by many important Spanish artists are included, such as the sixteenth century sculptors Alonso Berruguete and Juan de Juni, as well as the seventeenth century sculptors Jose Risueño, Jose de Mora and Luisa Roldan.
Each sculpture in Spanish Sculpture is given its own individual entry, while the introductory essays discuss more general issues, such as the formation of the collection of Spanish sculpture in the Museum, the idea of reproduction in sculpture, and the techniques employed.
