Surprised! Tiger in a Tropical Storm Fresh Flower Bouquet

This distinctive and unusual tropical bouquet has been inspired by Surprised!, the first of the jungle paintings that French artist Henri Rousseau is best known for. Rousseau’s scene depicts a tiger about to leap through a tropical forest of lush green hues.

Acclaimed florist Nikki Tibbles of Wild at Heart has captured the texture and mood of this 19th century painting in an exclusive bouquet for The National Gallery. The bouquet features a variety of tropical leaves including kangaroo paw with berried ivy and delicate John Story orchids.

Your bouquet will be hand-prepared using the most appropriate seasonal flowers, which means the composition of every bouquet will vary. The finished product will be wrapped using brown paper and finished with a brightly-coloured ribbon.
