Each individual tea light bowl is £10.
These hammered metal tea light bowls are reminiscent of the way both Turner and Claude used light to create drama in their paintings. Their dark exterior and shining centre echo the stark contrast between light and shade in the works of these two masters. A flickering candle inside the metallic interior, set against the matt black exterior, creates an atmospheric light that evokes the dramatic scenes of Turner and Claude’s paintings. These beautiful crafted tea light bowls are all slightly different and have either a silver or golden centre.
J.M.W. Turner was influenced by many of Claude's techniques, developing them into his own distinct style. Despite being born almost two centuries apart, Turner and Claude shared the same fascination with natural light. Many of their paintings followed very similar themes – and Turner later bequeathed two of his pictures to the National Gallery on the condition that the works were hung between two specific paintings by Claude.
These tea light holders are assorted, and we cannot guarantee which colour you will receive.
