Whistlejacket Christmas Decoration

This horse Decoration, exclusive to the National Gallery, is inspired by Stubbs's painting Whistlejacket.

Stubbs created this enormous work for the 2nd Marquess of Rockingham who was later to serve two terms as Prime Minister. It's a study in almost photographic detail, and captures - although we can neither confirm or deny this - the rebellious nature of the 2000 Guineas winner.

With a little less minute detail yet enormous respect to the original, our exclusive horse Decoration is one for your 'special' collection. It's made by our carefully selected artisan co-operatives in Thailand and India, and while it's designed with in mind, we think it's sure to find many a year-round home.
