Madonna with the Iris Fresh Flower Bouquet
At the beginning of the 16th century, “The Virgin and Child” – also known as The Madonna with the Iris – was painted in the workshop of Albrecht Dürer, probably by more than one artist. The image is particularly notable for the tenderness it depicts, along with the uplifting colours used for the mother’s clothing.
This painting has inspired Nikki Tibbles, creative director at leading luxury florist Wild at Heart, to design a bright bouquet of roses. Different shades of hot and pale pink roses are combined with magnificently-scented garden roses and white larkspur. In the summer, pink peonies are added as a counterpoint. The bouquet is then wrapped in orange paper and tied with an orange ribbon.
The theme of mother and child makes this bouquet particularly appropriate to celebrate the birth of a baby girl, although the joyous colour combinations are also well-suited to many other occasions. Delivery is available anywhere in the UK within 24 hours if you place your order before 2pm. As you’d expect with fresh flowers, the exact content and appearance of the bouquet will vary depending on the season. All deliveries are subject to availability; please check our terms and conditions for full details.
