Gold Brocade Corsage Brooch

This gold brocade corsage brooch is handmade exclusively for the National Gallery by Clare Webster.

Clare describes her work as sculptural textile accessories - she originally trained as a sculptor. She was inspired by Gossaert's sculptural approach to the folds and drapes of the fabric in the paintings, and chose colours that reference the paintings but with a contemporary feel.
