An early painting, perhaps of about 1480, much influenced by Botticelli with whom Filippino studied. The subject was a popular one in Florence. In the rocky landscape Tobias and the Archangel Raphael, Saint Jerome kneeling in penitence, Saint Francis receiving the stigmata, and other saints, are depicted in miniature.
