This wooden play sword is inspired by The Battle of San Ramano by Paolo Uccello from about 1397-1475. This brilliantly structured and colourful painting depicts part of the battle of San Romano that was fought between Florence and Siena in 1432.

Our unique sword rope guards protect children's hands from a glanced blow. Unlike all other guards, the rope will not snap or splinter in play. Our webbing handle, along with the rope guard, takes the impact and shock away from the child's hand. All our products are CE safety tested & Guild stamped

This wooden play sword is made almost completely by hand in the Wyle Valley, Wiltshire (Between the historic British cities of Bath and Salisbury) using materials from managed, sustained forests.

This wooden toy sword is not suitable for children who are excessively physical when at play.
