In June 2007, full-sized reproductions of 44 of the National Gallery’s paintings were hung on street walls around Soho, Covent Garden, Chinatown and Piccadilly in an outdoor exhibition called the Grand Tour.
The reproductions were startlingly accurate, and were produced by Hewlett Packard on a special waterproof, graffiti-proof material.
Tiger Seen on Shaftesbury Avenue is a book that records the Grand Tour exhibition.
