Dardagny is a village in Switzerland about 10 miles west of Geneva. Visible on the left are the Jura Hills.
Corot made two visits to the area in 1852 and again in 1853, when he went sketching in the nearby countryside with fellow artists Charles-François Daubigny and Armand Leleux.
